When shopping for a refurbished iPhone on Top notch, you often see terms like Open box, Like new, Very good or Good. But what do these categories really mean? This comprehensive guide will help you understand the difference between each grade, so you can choose the refurbished iPhone that best suits your expectations and budget.
📦 Open box: almost like new
Open box is the grade closest to a new device available at Top notch.
Here’s what that means:
-
The iPhone was unboxed but barely used, often returned immediately or displayed in a showcase.
-
It is 100% functional.
-
It comes with its original box (unsealed) and all its included accessories.
👉 It’s an excellent option if you want an experience very close to that of a new device without paying full price.
✨ Like new: flawless appearance
The “Like new” grade is for those who want an iPhone that looks fresh out of the box, even if it’s not the original device.
Features:
-
No visible signs of use (screen and body are clean).
-
Perfect if appearance matters to you.
-
You get a significantly better price than a new model while maintaining an almost identical appearance.
👍 Very good: minor marks, but almost invisible
An iPhone graded “Very good” sometimes shows a few micro-scratches or minor signs of wear on the body or screen, but nothing visible from more than 30 cm away.
Perfect for:
-
Those who want a good-looking device without paying the highest price.
-
A good balance between price and appearance.
📱 Good: some signs of wear, but works perfectly
The “Good” grade is ideal if appearance is not your priority.
Here’s what that means:
-
The device may have visible marks or scratches on the casing.
-
This does not affect the phone’s performance or functionality at all.
👉 It’s often the most affordable option, without compromising on everyday use.
No matter which grade you choose, every refurbished iPhone at Top notch comes with a 12-month warranty, giving you peace of mind.
All phones work perfectly because they are tested against strict standards; the grade only affects their cosmetic appearance, not their performance.
